Description: This is a monthly series presented by the National Network of Libraries of Medicine Greater Midwest Region(NN/LM GMR) liaisons and guest speakers. Each month a different topic, which may include one or more databases from the National Library of Medicine(NLM), is highlighted. Each session includes goals and objectives, and evaluation following the class. All sessions are presented as online webinars, using Adobe Connect, allowing for live phone conversation and online chat. All sessions are recorded with captioned and archived at http://nnlm.gov/gmr/.

Educational Objective: 1. Participants will learn about and become proficient in new and updated NLM databases. 2. Understand and increase awareness in developments in healthcare. 3. And/or be exposed and be able to describe new advances in the biomedical field.

Agenda:

Each session varies in agenda, but begins with objectives, instruction, includes discussion, and ends with evaluation of the class. 
All classes are 60 minutes in length. 

Need for This Course: The GMR members have requested online training, and with continuous changes in the healthcare field, this is the most economical way to inform the members.

The instructional methods used include Lecture, Demonstration, Slides, Discussion, and Other.

Participant Materials: Participants need only to have access to a computer with Internet capability and a phone.
